This web site has been designed to bring attention to some very important matters that affect everyone's quality of life.
It is also designed to give you a say in letting our government know they are not fully protecting your right to safe food.
What most people don't realize is that the U.S. Congress has written and rewritten laws that address many quality of life issues, such as the Sanitation Transportation Food Laws.
Some in Congress recognized that the safety of our food has been called into question due to unsafe transportation practices, especially in the trucking industry. I believe the American people are being poisoned without their knowledge but not without the knowledge of the U.S. Congress as they continue to rewrite these laws. The U.S. Department of Transportation and other agencies that are there to uphold the laws written for transportation are not honoring the current laws that were written to protect us. They are upholding the 1967 laws, which do not prevent unsafe transportation practices that have a potential to contaminate our food.
Another issue is polystyrene (Styrofoam) food containers. There are a number of cities, counties and even states that have ban the use of a polystyrene food containers as well as other polystyrene products. The main reason that these municipalities have ban the use of polystyrene is how it fills our landfills and the length of time it takes to break down. They are also worried about the chemicals that polystyrene breaks down into getting into our water supply.
There are three petitions on the Petition Page of this web site. We encourage you to do your research about the above subjects and if you feel that you would like to sign one or all of these petitions please print them out and send them to the address on the bottom of the petition.
